Guibao 887 elastomeric silicone stone sealant is a one part, neutral cure silicone sealant specially designed for use in assembling and dry hanging various kinds of stone materials.  

Characteristics

• Two parts, high modulus and strength. 
•  Neutral cure, non-staining to metal, concrete, marbles, granite and many ther construction materials
• Excellent adhesion to marbles, granite, cement boards, metal materials.
•  Excellent resistance to weathers, aging, ultra-violet rays, ozone and water.
• Outstanding extreme temperature resistance, not become fragile, hard or crack at the temperature of -50,nor become soft or degrade at the temperature of +150, always elastic.

It is designed for bonding and sealing joints between metal hooks and stone materials in dry hanging stone curtain wall engineering.

Guibao 887 part A is white, part B is deep gray, gray color as mixed.

Guibao 887 part A is supplied in pails (2.75kg), part B in cartridges (250±5g)

 Application Limitations

Guibao 887 should not be applied

• To back-bolt curtain walls  
• As structural sealant
• To the places damp all the year round or continuously immersed in water

Safe-Handling Information

Cured Guibao 887 is not toxic, but avoid contacting eyes before cure. In case it contacts eyes, rinse with a lot of water and seek medical treatment. Uncured Guibao 887 should be kept out of the reach of children. Guibao 887 gives off low-molecule substance, so construction areas and cure areas should be kept ventilated to avoid the unfavorable effect on human health caused by the over-concentration of low-molecule substance.

  Application Method

• The stone surfaces in contact with metals should be clean, free from dust, water and oil.
• Clean oil off metal components
• Mix part A and part B of Guibao 887 by mass ratio of 11:1 (part A to part B) by using sealant gun to extrude part B into the pail of part A, and then blend and mix them well with wooden rod or electrical drill with agitator. Check whether the sealant is mixed well by means of butterfly testing .The well mixed sealant should be applied within thirty minutes.
• About thirty minutes later, the sealants appears half cured state; after two hours, the sealant becomes hard and in twenty four hours the optimum adhesion forms.(Curing rate is adjustable).

Storage and Shelf Life

Guibao 887 should be stored over temperature range from -20 to +27 , under which the shelf life is nine months. Guibao 887 part A and part B should be confined well to avoid exposure to air.
